DisgrifiadClynnog Fawr is situated on the A499 between Caernarfon and Pwllheli. It is a small village of c.150 people. It is especially known for its late medieval church (St Beuno's, Nprn: 43699), which became one of the two great clas communities of Arfon, and derived particular significance and wealth from being on the main pilgrimage route to Enlli (Bardsey). The village is still a stopping point for travellers between Caernarfon and Pwllheli and the west end of the Lleyn peninsula.
