Clwyd Theatr Cymru, previously called Theatr Cymru is a leading centre for productions. It was opened in 1976 by Clwyd County Council, built to the designs of R. W. Harvey, County Architect. It offers four venues - The Anthony Hopkins Theatre, The Emlyn Williams Theatre, a cinema and a multi-purpose function room. A bookshop, art gallery, cafe and bar are also on site.
