A much disturbed & re-edified subcircular cairn, 4.0m N-S by 3.0m: excavation, 1974, showed that the cairn had been extensively investigated & reconstituted in two episodes commemorated by coins of 1936 & 1954, when two pits within the kerbed area were emptied, one containing a cremation deposit (Owen 1961); a cist, without the current kerb on the S, contained a cremation deposit representing a young child.
