Dihewyd is a small village situated about five miles south east of Aberaeron. According to the fourth edition of the 6inch OS map, the village still had a post office and a smithy in 1953, although both have now closed. Dihewyd still has a primary school educating roughly 20 children, a village hall and a football field. Both the chapel - Bethlehem Welsh Independent chapel (NPRN 7224) and the church - St. Vitali's church (NPRN 421108) remain open for services.
