Philadlphia Methodist Chapel was built in 1802 and enlarged in 1812. The chapel was then rebuilt in 1829 to the design of architect Daniel Roberts. A Chapel house and School were added by 1850 and the chapel remodelled in 1930. The present chapel, dated 1930, is built in the Sub-Classical style with a long-wall entry plan and is now Grade 2 Listed.
