Dylan Roberts - Recording Sites in the Seventies

Before Dylan Roberts joined the Royal Commission’s graphics and photography branch in the 1960s, he used his considerable artistic talents to make sketches and drawings of many industrial and other structures in his native south Wales. These photos from the Seventies show how he was able to transfer this artistic ability to photography, capturing much of the fast-disappearing post-industrial sites from all parts of Wales in hundreds of unique shots. A selection of these are shown here.
