The Welsh Weather

From winter snows to hot summer days or persistent rain, Wales experiences a wide range of weather. These differing conditions can highlight or obscure elements in the landscape when viewed from the air – revealing the contours of lost archaeological features or pointing to structures buried beneath the earth. The Royal Commission holds over a million aerial photographs of sites throughout Wales showing the Welsh landscape in all weathers.
