Thorne Methodist Chapel was built in 1813, enlarged in 1860 and restored in 1947. The present chapel, dated 1860, is built in the Simple Round-Headed style with a long-wall entry plan and a single central doorway. A mid-nineteenth century caretaker's cottage is attached. Thorne is now Grade 2 Listed.
