Description
One of the earliest domestic buildings in Butetown, number 5 Bute Crescent was built around 1840. It consists of three storeys and basement, with a stuccoed facade and an iron rail surrounding the basement. There is a large arched tripartite window in the rusticated first-storey. The entrance is a single door with a rectangular fanlight above which is a cornice supported by corbels. There are similar cornices above the second-storey windows.
