Description
Built c.1847, 124 Bute Street is one of three remaining houses of a terrace known as Powell Place which included six houses later numbered 120?125. It is two-storey two-bay house with a painted stucco front, slate roof, and stucco chimney. The first storey has a flat-roofed canted bay window with Doric pillars and heavy brackets under the sills surrounded by a railing. To the right is a six-panel door with rectangular fanlight above, over which is a cornice on brackets. The second storey has sash windows with cornices above. The building is topped by a dentil cornice.
