Description
The Grand Hotel of 1900 was once the largest hotel in Wales with 156 bedrooms. It is a grandiose and overbearing building, six storeys high with attics, topped with pyramidal roofs and towers. It stands on a rock ridge overlooking the beach and promenade. Built on the site of the 1870s Baths Hotel, the Grand Hotel was burnt in 1977 and has since been restored and otherwise altered.
