Description
The gold mine at Cefn Coch was in operation between 1862-1866; 1873-1877 and 1889-1914. It is depicted on OS County series mapping (Merioneth. XXXIII.2 1889/1901). The produce of the main workings were initially (in the 1860's) moved by inclines to Berth-llwyd mine (Nprn400857), thence to an associated crushing plant (at SH72232387) and subsequently linked by tramway to the west. The mine closed in 1914.

Associated with:
Trial workings to SW (Nprn400856).
Part of Berth-llwyd and Cefn Coch mining complex (Nprn95668).
