DescriptionThis eighteenth-century mill, standing on a low artificial mound, was burnt down in the early 20th century. Only the lower part of the tower survives, built of coarse, roughly mortared rubble and standing to a maximum height of 3.9 metres. Two doorways at opposite sides have arched heads each of five large blocks. The small internal diameter, only 4.8 metres at ground level, suggests a maximum of two pairs of stones. In 1975 a fragment of kiln tile was found at the site.
