Description
Excavations in January 2005 by the Gwynedd Archaeological Trust revealed a Roman T-shaped corn drier as well as other features. The site lies 200m north-west of the Roman bathhouse excavated in Tremadoc in 1908 (NPRN 93639). It is likely that both sites are part of an extensive Roman settlement, of unknown form and purpose. It is unlikely that this was a military settlement and it appears to be too extensive for a villa.
