Wrexham police Station was built in Brutalist style between 1973-1975 to the designs of County Architect Eric Langford Lewis and new Assistant County Architect, Stuart Brown. Built of a re-enforced concrete frame clad with pre-cast corrugated concrete panels, the building's striking feature was its tower that cantilevered out from a central stalk. The building acted as the divisional headquarters for the North Wales Police. The police station closed in 2018 and demolished in 2020 following the building of a new police headquarters at Llay, with a new local police station located in the town library complex.
