A round cairn lies below the summit of a low ridge on the southern slope of Mynydd-y-glog.
Composed of loose unsorted stones, consolidated around its rim with grasses and moss, it now measures 16m (E-W) by 14.5m with a maximum height of 1.25m, on the east. The cairn has been disturbed by the construction of two small shelters in the north-east and south-east edges of the mound. Elsewhere stones have been removed from the mound interior.
There are hints of a kerb-like setting of larger stones, up to 1m long but only a few centimetres high above the turf, around the south and south-west edges of the mound and to a much lesser extent elsewhere.
