Envelope annotated 'Originals of illustrations for 'Master Bertram, Ingeniator Regis', 'Studies presented to... R. The envelope contains four photocopies of town plans showing castles; ten black and white photographs, and three colour photographs. The plans are annotated 'Taylor 2(b) Flint, John Speed's town plan'; one, 'Taylor 2(c) Aberystwyth street plan'; one, 'Taylor 3(a) Flint and 3 Gascon' [street plans]; one, 'Taylor 3(b) major N. Wales castles' [Builth, 1277; Rhuddlan, 1277; Flint, 1277; Aberystwyth, 1277; Conway, 1283; Caernarvon, 1283; Harlech, 1283; Beaumaris, 1295]. The photographs show aerial views of Flint; Cubzac, Benanges, Blanquefort, Rhuddlan, Dolforwyn, Saillon, Colsterworth, and Castell-y-Bera Castle. The file also includes three photographs of PRO documents C47/2/2; SC1/4, f.90; and SC1/4, f.92.
