Description
The Wrexham Cemetery Chapels were built in 1874 just inside the gates on Ruabon Road. They were designed by architect William Turner of Wrexham, in the Gothic style with long-wall entry plans and built with random rock-faced rubble with ashlar dressings and banded slate roofs with terracotta cresting. The two symeetrical chapels are joinded by a central archway with a tower and spire above. By 1999 the left hand chapel was still in use as a chapel but the right hand chapel was in use as a gravediggers store. Both are now Grade 2 Listed with the cemetery lodge, gate-piers, gates and railings.
