DescriptionSs Anthony & Clare was built in 1868. In the early 1900s its thatched roof was replaced with slate. Changes later in the century included bricking up windows in the east end and the transept at either side of the sanctuary to create two rooms, one to act as a sacristy, the other as a small meeting room.
In the mid 1900s a Grotto was built in the grounds with marble statues of Our Lady of Fatima and the three children. These have since been replaced by fibreglass statues. Renovations were carried out in 2000 and the walls which formed the two rooms were taken away to give more seating space. The windows were also unblocked and some new stained glass windows were added.
