Event and Historical Information:
The GOOD HOPE was a wooden sailing vessel on passage from Llanelli to Barnstaple. The report printed in Lloyds List on 10 December 1830 noted the master's name as Boom and that the vessel had gone ashore on Giltar Point on 6 December and was lying there in great danger.
