Description

This record consists of a documentary reference to a shipping casualty which has been assigned to the maritime named location RIVER USK NEWPORT pending more information which may allow a more precise location for the loss to be assigned.

Event and Historical Information:
The MAMAN YANE was a 288nt steamship of French registry. At time of loss, the vessel was enroute from St Malo to Newport in ballast. It was in collision with another vessel on 12 September 1919 and foundered new Newport.
