The monument survives as a prminent earthwork mound approximately 40m wide and 1m high, to the south of Cefn Coch farm. The tumulus was initially discovered on aerial photographs which show the mound to be surrounded by two wide ditches, an inner measuring 24m across and an outer 45m in diameter.
