Tintern Upper Wire Works are also known as New Tongs Mill. There is an easily-traced leat from the upper reach of the Angiddy Fawr that crossed the Angiddy Fechan on an aqueduct. The wall remains show the building layout and the wheelpit is obvious. An overgrown annealing furnace can be found at the western end.
