Description
The Graig settlement is a deserted post-medieval village, occupied from at least the first half of the 18th century through until the beginning of the 20th century. The settlement comprises the ruins of at least 25 individual dwelling houses, many with additional outhouses, outside lavatories, animal enclosures and other pens. One building has an unusual and well preserved conical pig sty. Only two of the buildings show evidence of stone built hearths.
