Description
NAR SH48SW2

One of two alleged holy or healing wells set on low lying ground by a marshy stream at Pont Clorach. Ffynnon Seiriol (NPRN 32168) across the road was filled in when the bridge was built in 1840. The waters of Ffynnon Gybi are now mixed with those of the stream and the condition of its healing virtue is uncertain. It and the path leading to it, are depicted on the OS County series 1st edition (Anglesey VII.15 1887).
The well is a small stone lined square basin with a modern superstructure of red brick topped with a concrete slab.
