Description
NAR SH48SE2

Remains of a later Prehistoric type settlement complex. This is set on a shelf on the south-eastern slopes of Bodafon Mountain. There are similar features to the north (NPRN 302466, 400740) and south (NPRN 400747).
There are remains of three roundhouses about 7.0m in diameter, defined by walls or banks up to 0.9m high. They occupy an area some 36m north-south by 26m and may have been joined as a single settlement enclosure. Similar settlements have often produced Roman material when excavated.
