Site Record

Y Bwthyn is a small late eighteenth or early nineteenth century tollhouse built for the Vaughans of Nannau whose turnpike it served. The house is of rubble stone construction, one and a half storeys under a slate roof. The road-side elevation has angled walls and a central recessed slate tariff plaque.
