The boathouse of the Taff Rowing Club was in use from the late-nineteenth century and continued to be used following the merger of the Taff Rowing Club with the Cardiff Rowing Club to form the present-day Llandaff Rowing Club after the Second World War. The Rowing Club made use of the Mitre Hotel in nearby Bridge Street for clubhouse facilities. The modern clubhouse for the Llandaff Rowing Club superceded the earlier boathouse and the site is now occupied by a carpark.
