Description
Grade II listed, mid 19th century school-teacher's house attached to the former National School now church hall, 1852, by Roderick Williams of Aberystwyth.

The house has been little altered and is attached to the rear W of former school. The building consists of rubble stone, and is a two-storey, three-window structure with stone voussoirs to flat heads of the three 1st floor windows and two ground floor windows and centre door. The first floor windows are two-light with cast-iron diamond latticing. The ground floor windows are similar 3-light with three square top lights withsSlate sills. The house has a red brick narrow chimney with 3 chimney-pots with a slate roof to steep pitch matching school roof, with some crested ridge tiles remaining, as on school house.

The former National School now church hall is also grade II listed, dating again from 1852, by Roderick Williams of Aberystwyth, and is a rare survivor of this type of building. The estimate for the school and house was £540. The newspaper report gave Mr Jones, churchwarden as architect and secretary but the plans are signed by Williams. The original interior was a single room with benches or forms tiered on back wall facing the window wall and fireplace.
