Description
Until the eighteenth-nineteenth centuries, Rachub consisted of mainly farmland and was part of Llanllechid parish. With the expansion of the slate industry in the locality, slate quarries (NPRN 419798) were established to the immediate north-east of Rachub and the settlement became a separate village with ranks of terraced housing.
