Description
Post medieval or modern inscription on flat west face of a short ridge of outcropping bedrock some 24m west of triangulation pillar and cairn on the summit of Pen Plynlimon Fawr. The inscription comprises a neatly engraved but worn list of names and/or initials with at least seven lines. The initials are difficult to read but the main part of the inscription appears to list the following:
'T.E.?.M.E.
?.A.W.E.
J.J.E.
W.A.R
D.H.R.
E.A.R.'

The date or purpose of this apparent memorial is uncertain. The inscription was identified by Toby Driver on 17th August 2017.
