Description
The ruin of the house or hut is located on the southeast facing slope, on the boundary of an enclosure. Internally the structure measures 6 metres eastwest and 5 metres north-south. Its walls are 0.6 metres thick and are well built of dry stone, standing 1.2 metres high. Roughly 2 metres from the southeast corner on the south wall there is a triangular window. It measures 0.3 metres across and 0.3 metres high. It is formed by two slabs leaning together. At the south end of the west wall there is a box shelf measuring 0.5 metres across, 0.4 metres high and 0.4 metres deep. The position of the entrance is unclear, though there is a construction break 1.5 metres from the west end of the south wall, indicating a possible filled doorway. The ground cover was bracken at the time of survey. N.A. Vaughan, ArchaeoPhysica Ltd, 31/08/2007
