Description
The ruin is located on the southeast facing slope. It was probably a house, and appears to have had two rooms, although it could have been two adjoining buildings. The northeast one measures 5 metres by 5 metres internally, with drystone walls 0.7 metres thick and 0.5 metres tall. The southwest one measures 3 metres northwest-southeast and 1 metre northeast-southwest internally. The walls of the latter room or building are now collapsed rubble banks 1 metre wide. There is no sign of an entrance in either room. At the south corner of the northeast room there is a rectangular structure measuring 1.5 metres northeast-southwest and 1 metre northwest-southeast, standing to a maximum of 1 metre high. It contains a boxshelf or fireplace in its northwest side, measuring 0.4 metres across, 0.3 metres high and 0.3 metres deep. It has become infilled with soil, and could have been higher. The ground cover was bracken at the time of survey. N.A. Vaughan, ArchaeoPhysica Ltd, 31/08/2007
