Description
Admiralty Sailing Directions note a 'long and remarkable ridge of rock, terminating in Lochtyn Point, or rather a rock called Ynys Fach, projects from the coast about 4 1/2 miles to the eastward of Pen Cribach, forming on its eastern side a little bay where small vessels may lie for a tide in fine weather and offsHore winds, but a heavy sea quickly rolls in upon a change occuring'.
