Description1. Earthworks associated with a former mill. With reference to the published sketch (BBCS, 25, 512-7):
The broad platform is still extant, as is the high wall, but surrounding foundations are no longer visible, the area having been badly disturbed by cattle trampling. The W part of the dam between the two streams was not seen due to dense bramble overgrowth. The E part is visible, along with some walling. The earthwork associated with the dam, a channel connecting the dam with its mill site somewhere downstream, can be followed some distance beyond the limits sketched. Total area of remains 160m (NW-SE) by 60m.

2. Associated with further water-control features to NNE (Nprn220789).
The location of Poolhead Cottage indicates that the eponymous pool extended over an area, c.120m NNE-SSW by 45m.
