Babell Chapel was the scene of an early demolition of a building within the military training area by the Ministry of Defence. In 1996 a memorial plaque was set up within the managed footings of the building recording that The Rev. W Jones Pentrefelin was the minister from 1909 to 1940. There is also a commemorative plaque bearing an emotive passage from Isaiah 2.4, which states that the chapel was built in 1857.
