Description
Coity Mawr Quarry (nprn 67670) was worked from the 1830s. It and the incline are shown on the 1844 Tithe map.

The upper part of the incline has not survived, where a track has been cut across the hill immediately downhill from the quarry. Further downhill the incline is a NE-SW embankment for 250m, then continues in a cutting for 150m to the former Coity Pits (nprn 67545) (now part of Big Pit Mining Museum).
