Late C19 adit driven at the base of Coity Mawr Quarry I (nprn 67670) and shown on the 1st ed OS.

A V-shaped depression approximately 20m long and up to 4m deep, forming the approach to the underground entrance. The entrance is obscured beneath collapsed rubble.
