Site Record

Llan-gyfrwys, a farmstead of Ca.1700 date, standing on a platformed site cut into the hillside at O.D.870ft below the main road from Builth wells to New Radnor. The original house was built on a downhill sited platform to the E., but in the 19th century the lower end was re-built across the slope. To the NW. a four-bay barn forms the arm of a L-shaped range which has been mainly reconstructed. On the S. there is now a modern shed. (RFS/2001)
