Site Record

Bryn-melys, a farmstead of 17th century origin, standing on a level site at O.D.820ft in a valley with the river Edw to the N. The house stands on the W. side of a courtyard with a cowhouse in range. On the S. there is a four-bay barn that has been altered and has had a cartshed added onto the N.gable-end wall.
The farmstead is in the list of houses in Glascwm parish by Edward Llwyd in 1690.
