The farmstead at Dolau Gwynion is shown on the 1? to 1mile Ordnance Survey map of 1833. It is also shown on the 1st edition 1:10560 Ordnance Survey map of 1891 but the building is shown as roofless by this time. On the 2nd edition Ordnance Survey map of 1905, the farmstead was no longer named. When visited in April 2008, the farmstead was a degraded ruin, although the layout of it could be seen. The farmhouse lay at the northern edge of a small garden plot. A yard and the access to the farmhouse lay to the west of the garden plot.
