Description
Pandy Hen is a roofless and overgrown ruin, standing on sloping ground on the north side of the Afon Crychddwr. It consists of a range of three single storey buildings constructed of coarse stone rubble; the central part, where the rubble is mortared, stands highest and was probably the dwelling.
Although the buildings are close to the river, there is no evidence of a leat or wheel pit, so fulling was probably carried out without mechanical assistance. In a small enclosure at the north end of the range, four standing slate slabs set at the corners of a rectangle may be the remains of tenter frames.
