DescriptionWye Valley Paper Mills, previously Bridget's Mills, may have been used earlier as a wire works. Built around 1800, the complex includes a large collection of buildings in excellent order with a house (former manager's house) that is now used as a private residence. The leat now runs through the garden. There remains no evidence of steam power or large paper-making machinery having been installed in the buildings, suggesting the use of several small hand-mills.
