At the entrance to Cwrt y Gollen Army Training School, 67m above sea level, is a red sandstone monolith 4.15m high, 1.05 m broad (N-S) by 0.7m, fenced in and set into a bed of ornamental cobbles. There is a crescent-schaped notch 1m from the top of the east edge.
