Gaer Fach is an oval stone walled enclosure of about 1.5ha, roughly 168m east-west by 115m. It is best regarded as a later Prehistoric type hillfort. It occupies a distinct summit and its east-facing entrance opens onto a walled trackway descending into a hollow below the titanic 11ha hillfort of Gaer Fawr (NPRN 100866).
