Glandwr Independent Chapel was built in 1712, enlarged in 1717, enlarged/rebuilt in 1774, 1800, 1836 and again in 1876. The present chapel, dated 1876, was designed by architect John Humphries of Treforest and built by J.Tracey of Swansea. The chapel is built in the Simple Round-Headed style of the long-wall entry type.
