Llanon is one of the largest villages on Cardigan Bay and was predominantly a fishing community with its wide beach for landing boats and fish traps in the inter-tidal area. Further historical interest lies in the survival of a pre-nineteenth century field system lying between the village and the sea (NPRN 308699).
