DescriptionSaid to date from c1690, the house was remodelled in 1830, and enlarged and altered in the late 19th century. Much of these later additions were demolished in the 1950s. Tudor-Gothic Revival style, stuccoed and castellated. 2-storey main entrance elevation with attic behind a parapet. Moulded string course at first floor level and symmetrically placed end castellated stacks. To the right, 2-bays contain cusped windows with hoodmoulds. 2-storey projecting crenellated porch, 2-bays wide with the right-hand bay set slightly back. Pointed arch doorway with hoodmould and wooden door. Internally the house retains the main staircase hall; some stained glass with heraldic motifs; panelling and wooden staircase. A number of marble fireplaces, including black marble fireplace with cusped details probably dating from 1830s. Brick barrel vaulted cellars.
