DescriptionSited on the edge of a steep slope to the W of Castell Dinas Bran, and dated 1793 is this 2-storey Georgian small country house. Stucco elevations with cill bands and plinth, and a hipped slate roof with broad eaves and brick chimney stacks. The house has a symmetrical 7-bay front with architraves, lugged to the ground floor, over sash windows to the first floor and tall casements below. The glazing has recently been removed. Central pilasters and pedimented doorcase, dated 1820. To the E is a 3-bay side elevation with panelled shutters and similar detail. Stepped down and set back to the rear are parallel cross ranges creating a U-plan courtyard formerly including an inner closed courtyard. The cross range to the W is earlier in origin and is said to retain some timber framing. The E cross range has a deep porch with timber arcading to the side.
