A complex field system situated within a field containing a Romano-British homestead (NMR 303066), hut circles (NMR 303068) and Medieval longhouses (NMR 15167 and 15169). It is as likely to be related to the Romano-British settlement as the field system to the north (NMR 278685), There are some elements, which are likely to be Medieval modifications of earlier phases. Additionally, the field system overlaps into the field lying to the south-west in a very fragmentary form. 2004.03.18/OAN/PJS
